With the establishment of the Embassy website, we hope to provide the readers more information about the history of the country, Vietnamese traditional culture and people. This is to promote further the mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation between the people of Vietnam and Egypt as well as other countries around the world.

After more than 25 years of the Renovation, Vietnamese people have gained great and proud achievements in all fields of politics, economy, culture and society. With a population of nearly 90 million people, of which the majority is in working age, distinguished by hard-working, industrious and diligent character, rich of various natural resouces, with many well-known architectural landmarks recognized to be the world's cultural heritage by UNESCO, Vietnam is known as a peaceful, beautiful and friendly country, becoming a promising land for investors and foreign companies, attracting a number of tourists to visit and rest.

With the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development, diversification of relations, proactive and positive international integration, as a good friend, a reliable partner and a responsible member of the international community, until now, Vietnam has established diplomatic relations with over 180 countries around the world, having trade and economic relations with almost all countries and territories around the world, actively participating and contributing to regional and international forums and organizations, contributing to the common struggle of the world people for peace, national independence, democracy and progress society.

Vietnam opened its Embassy in Egypt following the establishment diplomatic relations with Egypt 50 years ago. Apart from political tradition of mutual support in the struggle for the national independence, the two countries’ bilateral relations have been developing steadily to open a new chapter in the relationship.

With the establishment of the website of the Embassy of Vietnam to Egypt, we hope to contribute to furthering the traditional friendly relations and cooperation between Vietnamese people and Egyptian people.
